~ He cradles me like how I cradle her~

I have a younger sister. Whenever she is crying, sick, in pain or just simply in need of a hug and some comfort I pick her up. I hug her. I cradle her. I rock her to sleep. I comfort her. I sing to her. I hold her tight. I patiently wait for her to settle down. Jesus cradles me like how I cradle her. When Im in pain, upset, lost, sick, crying, broken or simply in need of a hug and some comfort, Jesus is ALWAYS there. He picks me up. He hugs me. He comforts me. He holds me. He wraps his loving arms around me. He waits patiently for me to settle down. He whispers into my ear with his calming voice. He tells me everything is going to be okay. He tells me he will always love me. Fretted Fingers

Jesus IS my brother!

Yes, I have known for as long as I can remember that Jesus Christ IS my brother. The other day I learned what it really means for him to be my brother.

Every morning, one of my younger brothers wakes up and gives me a big hug. He hugs me countless times during the day. It makes him sad when I leave for a day or more. In fact, he shed a few tears when I told him I would be out of town for a long day. I tell him I love him, and then he tells me he loves me most.

I thought about it for sometime and...

Imagine how Jesus feels when I dont take the time in the morning to give him a hug and prayer, when I leave for a day or more and do not think about him. Does he get upset when I dont come home and tell him I missed him?
He is like an older brother to me. I tell him I love him and he tells me he loves me most. He died so I could live. My own brother gave his life for me.
O how I love Him!

Go Show The World

" In every word that we will say, in every prayer we’re out there pushing Would you shine your light into In every soul that you will save, in every heart that’s out there searching Would you shine your light " Michael Steingard ~ Go Show The World. Not too long ago, I restored the computer and lost at least half of my Itunes library. Mainly whats left is Bluetree, Chad Gentry, Michael Steingard, Jonathan Steingard, Newsboys and a couple songs by Danyew.I was listening to my Ipod one night, and came across the song " Go Show The World ". Ive heard it before, but never really caught on to what the artist was saying. When I heard that bridge, it felt like my heart had melted, it expressed in a creative way what I have been trying to say and express in my songs. In this brige, it tells what I have been trying to get across.I find the bridge, and the whole song in general very encouraging and would like to share it with the other musicians on this page.To download a free copy of this song, go to the following link:http://www.purevolume.com/michaelsteingard~ Fretted Fingers ~

Obedience

Well, the subject of obedience has been on my mind for about two months now.

As a bit of a pre-blurb, at the time I first started thinking about this, I was reading in the book of Genesis and the story of Abraham and it really got me thinking.

When God asked Abraham to take his only son with Sarah, Issac as an offering to God, Abraham said yes right away without hesitation, for he knew that if he put his trust in God, God would work things out in the end.

If Abraham can immediately say yes to offering his only son with Sarah to God , than I too can say yes to the things God wants me to do.

There has been situations when God has wanted me to do things but I put them off because of fear of embarrassment, nervousness, feeling I'm too young, feeling like I'm not strong enough, feeling like I'm not good enough to do such things , etc... Offering up your son is SO much harder than anything God has ever asked me to do. So why didn't I listen right away?

I need to get over my fears and learn how to go way out of my comfort zone for Him.

I know that what He wants me to do, He wants for a reason and I need to put my faith in Him.

I know that everything He wants me to do is somehow apart of His plan for me.

I need to work on my faith and give Him my all, and a great example of doing this is Abraham.

Abraham is an outstanding man of faith and he is a person that greatly inspires me because of that.

I'm sure some of you can relate to what I have said in this post, so feel free to comment and share what you have to say.

Lets all sing a song....

Psalm 57 : 7-11 :
7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

Psalm 68: 4 :
4 Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds — his name is the LORD— and rejoice before him.

Psalm 95 : 1-7 :
1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
7 for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

Psalm 98: 4-6 :
4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

I thought I would share these verses as words of encouragement for all singers, songwriters, and musicians out there that want to worship God through music like I do.

Take care all,

The Do`s and Dont`s when writting worship songs

Today, I have been all over the Internet digging for tips on writing worship songs. I do write mainly worship songs so I figured I should get some help from artists I look up to on the subject on how to improve.

I have come across various websites saying various things.

For instance "10 ways to avoid writing a weak worship song": http://milestoneworship.com/?p=14 notice there is no "way number eight"?

Here's another one I came across : http://milestoneworship.com/?p=14
